Information We Collect

We collect certain categories of information in order to provide and improve WDIF’s travel planning, packing, reminder, and AI-powered features.

1.1 Account Registration Information

  • Full name and email address.
  • Password stored in encrypted form.
  • If you use Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In, we receive only the information allowed by those providers.

1.2 Trip and Packing Information

  • Destination, travel dates, trip type, and travel details.
  • Packing lists, preferences, and saved customizations.
  • Travel reminders set inside the app.

1.3 Location Information

With your explicit permission, WDIF may collect your precise GPS location while the app is in use to provide real-time weather, forecasts, and relevant packing suggestions.

1.4 Push Notification Data

With your permission, we may process a device push token assigned by Apple or Google to deliver trip reminders and service updates.

1.5 Payment and Subscription Information

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed through YIGIM Payment Services. WDIF does not store raw card details.

  • Payment card details are entered directly into YIGIM’s secure interface.
  • WDIF only receives transaction status, reference ID, and purchase confirmation.
  • YIGIM handles payment data under its own privacy policy.

1.6 Trippy AI — ChatGPT (OpenAI)

Trippy AI is powered by the OpenAI API. When you interact with it, your query and relevant trip context may be sent to OpenAI to generate responses.

  • OpenAI may retain API inputs and outputs for limited abuse monitoring.
  • API data is not used to train models by default.
  • Please do not enter sensitive personal information into Trippy AI chat.

1.7 Automatically Collected Technical Data

  • Firebase may be used for analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring.
  • Usage data is used only to improve the service.

1.8 Communications

We may collect messages and information you voluntarily send to hello@wdif.app or support@wdif.app.

How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account securely.
  • To generate personalized packing lists, reminders, and weather updates.
  • To operate Trippy AI and provide relevant travel assistance.
  • To process subscriptions and one-time purchases.
  • To send push notifications you opt into.

  • To prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.
WE DO NOT SELL, RENT, OR TRADE YOUR PERSONAL DATA TO THIRD PARTIES, AND WE DO NOT USE YOUR DATA FOR THIRD-PARTY TARGETED ADS.

Third-Party Sign-In (Google & Apple)

  • We receive only your name and email address, as permitted by your settings.
  • We do not receive or store your Google or Apple password.
  • Google and Apple sign-in remain subject to their own privacy policies.

We do not share your personal information except in limited and necessary circumstances.

5.1 Service Providers

  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers.
  • OpenAI for Trippy AI processing.
  • Firebase / Google for analytics and crash reporting.
  • Apple and Google for push notification delivery.
  • YIGIM for payment processing.
  • Customer support tools.

5.2 Payment Processor

YIGIM processes payments independently. WDIF shares only the minimum data needed for payment completion.

5.3 Weather Providers

Destination city or coordinates may be sent to third-party weather services only as needed to provide forecasts.

5.4 Legal Requirements

We may disclose data where required by law, legal process, or governmental request.

5.5 Protection of Rights and Safety

We may disclose information to prevent fraud, protect the service, or protect users and the public.

5.6 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Data Retention

  • Account and trip data: kept while your account remains active.
  • Push notification tokens: deleted after account deletion or token invalidation.
  • Support communications: may be retained for support and legal purposes.
  • Analytics data: retained according to provider settings.
  • Trippy AI query data: retained by OpenAI for limited periods as described by OpenAI.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WDIF SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF THE SERVICES.

Total aggregate liability is limited as permitted by applicable law, except where mandatory law states otherwise.
